  • AMERICAN PARKINSON DISEASE ASSOCIATION: provides support, education, and research to help you live a fuller life. 

  • BRIAN GRANT FOUNDATION: empowers people impacted by Parkinson’s to lead active and fulfilling lives. 


  • CURE PARKINSON’S TRUST: is a leading Parkinson’s medical research charity totally committed to slowing, halting and reversing the condition and ultimately improving the lives of those affected by the disease. 

  • THE DAVIS PHINNEY FOUNDATION: is committed to supporting programs as well as research that help to deliver inspiration, information and provide tools that will enable people living with Parkinson’s to have more control in managing their disease. 

  • DRIVE TOWARD A CURE: pursues an alternative to the numerous ‘for profit’ rally driving programs through the creation of events that team cars and camaraderie to raise funds and awareness to support the challenges of Parkinson’s Disease, benefiting research and patient care.

  • EUROPEAN PARKINSON’S DISEASE ASSOCIATION: advocates for the rights and needs of patients and their families. 

  • HARMONICA PARKINSON’S PROJECT: is a resource to start a PD harmonica group or self-study. Includes video lessons that correspond to the lessons in the book, links to ongoing monthly free live group lessons, ongoing forum and much more. 

  • KIRK GIBSON FOUNDATION: mission is to improve the quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s through the development and delivery of activity-based programs.

  • LSVT GLOBAL: LSVT Global grew out of a clinical need to help people with Parkinson’s regain their lost vocal abilities. The scope of this work was eventually expanded to help people with PD improve their movements. Years of research and development led to effective treatments and a vibrant company whose core goal is to improve the lives of adults and children afflicted with neurological conditions.

  • MICHAEL J FOX FOUNDATION: is helping to raise money for much-needed research to help find a cure. From ways you can get involved to a great blog chock-full of Parkinson’s-related information, there is so much information here. 



  • PARKINSON & MOVEMENT DISORDER ALLIANCE: is on a mission to empower people impacted by movement disorders with the tools and meaningful connections they need to thrive today. 

  • PARKINSON FOUNDATION: helps patients actively enjoy life through expert care and treatment research. 

  • PARKINSONS VOICE PROJECT: organization whose mission is to help people with Parkinson’s and related disorders REGAIN and RETAIN their speech and swallowing. We treat patients online and in-person through our Texas clinic. We also train speech-language pathologists and graduate students worldwide in our highly effective 

  • SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program: Since 2008, Parkinson Voice Project has offered all of its speech therapy programs at no cost to people with Parkinson’s and their families.

  • PARKINSON’S UK: mission is to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. They want to deliver life-changing new treatments and ensure loved ones get the right care and support to live as well as possible at every stage of the condition. 

  • PARKINSONS WELLNESS RECOVERY: is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to therapy, exercise, and wellness programs for individuals with Parkinson's disease. Founded by Dr. Becky Farley, PWR offers a range of services, including: PWR Gym, PWR Moves professional certifications, educational workshops, retreats and more. 

  • PD AVENGERS: is a non-profit organization is a global alliance of people with Parkinson’s, our partners and friends, standing together demanding change in how the disease is seen and treated.

Having resources that help keep you informed, and offer support and encouragement to patients and their loved ones is so important. These are just a few of the hundreds of organizations out there that are available to you. You can search online or visit your local library for more.
